It is probably true to say that most people tend to focus on the evil men in the world, making some of the truly evil women that have lived fade into insignificance.
The dozen women in this book certainly exposed the more sinister side to their natures, for example, Rosemary West, Britain’s most prolific female serial killer. Even the ‘tell-all’ tabloids struggled with the grisly details of her murders, deciding it was best to leave them unpublished.
Another woman who comes under the evil category was Ulrike Meinhof, who was, without doubt, one of the most famous female terrorists in history. She was co-founder of the terrorist group the Red Army Faction, which also became known as the Baader-Meinhof gang.
